iOS9 Update Size?

My feed cut out around the time Apple mentioned the size of iOS9.

From what I gathered, will iOS9 be 1.3GB in size? Or an additional 1.3GB to the 4.6GB of iOS8?

Maybe it was just a confusing statement to me but I want to clarify bc my 16GB iP6 is running out of precious space.

iOS upgrade will only require 1.3GB free space rather than the 4GB+ in previous updates. As far as complete install size, I am not sure.

Thank you, that's kind of what I came to conclude too. Really won't know the complete install size til release but I hope it sheds some weight.

Developer preview IPSW is 1.7 GB for iPhone 5. No idea how much it takes up once installed.

For the iPhone 6, the file size is around 1.9GB. Anyone know how much space iOS 9 takes up after installation?

my iphone 6 64gb had 55.9gb capacity with ios 8.4 beta 3, ios 9 beta 1 dropped capacity to 55.6gb. free space on ios 8.4 beta 3 was 44.6gb, ios 9 beta 1 free space is 44.2gb

i installed from itunes, wasnt getting any ota prompts
