Got lots of apps that are not using the full screen. Apple has to drop the hammer on these guys and tell them to update to X requirements or they are going to get pulled from the App store.

I agree.....these apps look crap on the X and ruining the whole experience. Part of the reason too while I keep thinking about getting an 8+ instead.

The X was just released. If Apple actually carried out such a threat then probably less than 10% of the apps on the App Store would remain (assuming this happened within the next few months).

Is anyone else having issues with the Instagram app? It's crashed a few times when I was posting a video story.

The phone has only been available for 9 days and I’ve seen loads of apps being updated.

Apple aren’t going to and shouldn’t force devs to update their apps simply because a few million people got a slightly larger screen. There’s 100’s of millions of iOS devices in use so the X users represent a much smaller subset.

Apple should just showcase those making use of the X screen on the App Store and encourage updates.

It’s dissapppointing that major tech companies like google and Microsoft haven’t optimized all their apps for iPhone X. The gmail and outlook looks like crap.

Excel, OneDrive, Yammer and ToDo all have had updates and there’ll be more that I don’t have installed.

I’m sure they’re working on them and releasing when ready.

Let hope that some developers are quicker than they were adopting the iPhone Plus displays. Some apps to this day are not optimised for the additional screen size!

Maybe they shouldn’t promote apps in their own App Store as app of the day, such as Words With Friends 2, that are not optimized for iPhone X screen.
