Im seeing 2 types of screen protectors....ones that have a cut out that doesn't cover the notch. And ones that cover the entire screen....there are 2 horizontal gaps for the listening mic but the sensors are covered, altho with see through material.

Question is, which one is better?

They also keep saying its tempered glass, it looks like stiff plastic to me. I asked if it was gorilla glass and got blank looks. They just said its 9H quality....wtf does that even mean?

Any pointers?

well thats great mr belkin...however its not what Im asking....plus the belkin protector was out of stock and they want stupid money for it

Zagg has the notch cut out, feels like glass and has lifetime replacements. Love the feel of mine. Can’t answer your other question though.

I use the spigen glass screen protector. Good fit and it has a cut out for the notch as I didn’t want it to interfere with Face ID. No issues so far.

I had both and I prefer the one with the notch cutout that doesn’t cover the notch. The one that covered the notch would accumulate tons of dust and made the top area look fugly. This one on the other hand is barely noticeable.

Which brand screen protector did you get? I'm looking around and there are hundreds of crap lookalikes that all claim superior tempered glass with 9H hardness (along with probably fake Amazon review to create false quality ratings)...! I also want one that it cut out around the entire notch - for the same reasons you describe. I have read that the expensive glass models like the Belkin are better-made than the $7-10 range protectors. I don't know that this is true - and I have never used a screen protector before.

But today while cleaning my iPhone 6S Plus before photographing it to sell online, I found that what I thought was a PERFECT screen had a very small (like 0.5mm) scratch. I never noticed it and have no idea how long it has been there. I don't think a new user will notice it either - it is only visible when you shine a light directly at the phone and turn the surface so that the screen is at just the right angle to show the mark. Nevertheless, now I can't sell the phone as "MINT" because it is not. My prior phone screens remained perfect - but I only kept them for one year. It seems that in my second year of ownership...I'm less careful? Or repeated assaults (of daily life) against the screen finally succeed!

You didnt ask about anything in particular. You listed no brands or urls. Its all vagueness, nothing specific.

At least mr belkin pointed to something concrete that can be discussed.

have you noticed any rainbow affect? hows the fit?

Nothing but a clear image of the screen. As for the fit, it’s an exact copy of the actual screen, the part that you use and can see. Does not cover any of the black edges which worked great for my OB Defender. Not sure It would of worked with my case if it went all the way to the edge. Hope this makes since.
