Ipad 1/2 case on ipad3?

Just wondering if all ipads share the same case. Looking at picking up an ipad3 as my first ipad, do I need ipad3 specific cases?

I think the opposite... ipad 3 is bigger than iPad 2... iPad 2 cases are difficult to fit with new iPad..especially the hard cases....
