16GB iPad owners. Was 16GB enough for you?

If you own 16GB iPad model, was 16GB enough for you? or where there times you wished you had more storage space?

I have a 32gb and it's the perfect size for me. I had a 16gb iPhone 3G though and I was constantly juggling apps around because of the lack of space. Upgraded to 32gb iPhone 4 and it was perfect so I went with 32gb for the iPad as well.

I needed a 32 up until I discovered Air Video. That app alone brought my requirements down well below 16gb.

I have the 32GB model and though I feel that it is to much space, it feels nice not to have to juggle what to add or delete. But with that being said, I am more than sure that with the iPad 2 I will be going with the 16GB model.

Why, because in iOS 4.3 Apple is going to introduce Home Sharing for the iPad. Meaning that wile I am at home I don't have to sync my media to my iPad anymore, I will be able to stream everything through my home wifi and when I travel all I really need is the last 2-3 newest episodes of my 4 favorite shows, a few podcast, a movie or two and a hand full of albums (I don't need to carry my entire library with me).

This is my 16GB iPhone, and I feel that I have enough media pre-loaded (with space to spare) that it gets me by for a few days before I feel that I should sync again.

My guess is that I won't use the 3G functionality nearly as much as I think I will. That said, I can't see spending $650-$750 on such a cool mobile device like this and not at least have the option to use it in areas where Wi-Fi might not be available. Just my humble opinion of course.

I just don't want to gimp my iPad with inadequate storage, but also don't want to spend an extra $100 just to feel better about it in my mind, but never actually use the extra storage.

If you have an iPhone, use the 3g in that to get internet access to your iPad outside the home! (turn the iPhone into a wifi hotspot with iOS 4.3) save the money by not buying the 3g iPad (and monthly rental) and get a larger (32gb or 64gb) iPad wifi only.

16GB is plenty unless you store a lot of video. If you tend to buy a lot of iTunes movies you may want to consider 32 or 64.

I use my iPad at home and have my phone carry all the music. With that, 16GB on my iPad is just for apps and that is more than enough. Plus, if you're like me and use it at home a majority of the time, you could just stream the movies from your computer to the TV (Windows Media Center) or now Airplay with iOS4.3.

I have a 16GB and a 64GB. The 16 is great for just about everything except for storing video. I believe my son may have one or two movies on the 16, I have maybe 6 or 8 on the 64. Therefore, he tends to grab mine for road trips.

99% of the time I could have easily gotten away with the 16 gig. I use a program called airvideo to stream movies from my home mac, and all my music is on my phone. However when I was stuck for 27 hours in a airport with spotty wifi, I was glad I ponied up for the 32gb, because those extra 10 episodes of top gear where the only thing that kept me sane.

As things progress file sizes will get bigger, but hopefully one day we will be able to just airplay all of our media from our macs to our ios devices.

Those that have the 64GB - Why did you get one and what do you use the storage for?

Trying to decide between 32 and 64. I have a 160gb ipod classic for my music and music videos, concerts, etc (and almost full).

I'm thinking the same thing. I have both a 32g iPhone 4 and iPad now. I def need it on the phone as it's my personal iPod too. iPad not so much I have music on it but hardly ever use it. So I'm thinking of going 16g 3G this time. Cause I'd like to have the gps even tho I use my iPhone to tether the iPad. My only worry now is the size of both iMovie and garage band files on the iPad. I'm thinking they'll be big and 16g won't be enough.

This. My iPhone stores the music/movies and my iPad has been prominantly an in home web-surfer and coffee table game player.

i have the 16GB iPad and will get another 16GB one in April white looks kinda cool.

My ipad 1 is used for internet access - shopping - youtube - iplayer and eyetv app - i do not use it to playback video from iTunes that often as i use a AppleTV with my MBP connected up to a HD projector - Airplay works well from my mac to that.

Even Gary Busey wants an iPad 2 with 16GB
