iPad 1 vs iPad 2 screen strength test

    It is pretty neat, but doesn't test anything that has to do with blunt trauma, which is going to be what causes 99.9% of iPad screen damage.

    Ipad 1 vs ipad 2 screen

    Looks to me the ipad 1 was glass. Ipad 2 plastic. Maybe?

    That's nuts. Makes me wonder if my $28 screen protector is a complete waste of money.

    Neat video but I'm not sure how relevant it is to using screen protection or not. Maybe I'm alone in this but I use screen protectors as insurance against scratches and abrasions. Breakage/shattering is not likely to be ameliorated by a screen protector.

    No, it's definitely glass, it's just not plate glass like they use in windows.

    That's pretty cool, now I want to see someone drop something on their ipad 2 to test how it stands up :p
