im also wondering the same. if anyone knows can they tell me? i know the first gen ipad 3g is sim free right out of the box. im guessing the second one is too. but im not sure.

the only way to be sure is to try it out ourselves on march 11

If yes, then I presume so since the iPad 1 is.

The AT&T 3G model will have a sim card slot.

The Verizon 3G model will NOT have a sim card slot.
