iPad iPad 2 3G w/o SIM and iOS 7

Now with the recent push to iOS 7 how can I update an iPad 2 without SIM but the need for activation in iOS 7 ?

I could upgrade a legacy iPhone 4 only after inserting the old SIM card which is not an option for the iPad 2. But it need facetime :-(

Surely you can do it via iTunes?

iTunes ? Forget that one 😛 with all the convenience of over-the-air and cloud.

Will give it a shot on weekend. Not really in a post PC/Mac area 🙄

You do not need SIM card to activate iPad... Pit is not requirement... iPhone however, you do.

Not sure; forgot to mention it is a Japanese iPad which are SIMlocked; not the case in most countries.

I do not know... iPad in Canada is SIM unlocked....
