iPad 2 (A5) gaming

For those of you with iPad 2s, who do a lot of gaming, have you noticed games running well / poorly at all over the last year?

Trying to work out whether getting the iPad mini for gaming will be a waste of time despite the better form factor, and games will end up running like glue.

I think it would hold up well to any game. I wouldn't know since I don't have a iPad 2. To test games out but I think it would handle the games well for now

As far as I'm aware the iPad 2 performs as well as the iPad 3 for gaming - sometimes better - it just does it in a lower resolution.

Super smooth on my iPad 2. I play many games.

It performs better than the iPad 3. There's a reason why Apple released the iPad 4 ASAP with the A6X processor.
