Like many others on here, my iPad has been crippled since moving to IOS 8. Even IOS 8.0.2 was hopeless. Today I made some changes in Settings and decided to do a hard reset to see if anything improved. Disaster - the Apple logo appeared on the iPad screen and just stayed.

Eventually I decided to go into DFU mode and restore. It took a long time and my iPad is just whizzing. Safari lag has disappeared and apps are lively and working well. Best of all the keyboard now works without freezing and I can use my iPad again. Early days yet but a terrific improvement on the last couple of weeks (which have felt like a couple of years). Try it and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Not for me. I did a full reset(without restoring my backup) on my ipad2 and still have daily Safari lag/crashes. I've stopped using and have moved to chrome.
