iPad 2 cameras video-only? No photos?

    During the event, they only referred to the cameras as "video" cameras. Also, I didn't see any hands-on photos or reports of photos being taken.

    Can you use the iPad 2 as a still photo camera?

    I'm sure .99$ and camera+ would do the trick!

    I think that you must be able to at least use the front camera as a still camera for PhotoBooth.

    From the iPad 2 tech spec sheet


    -Back camera: Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still camera with 5x digital zoom
    -Front camera: Video recording, VGA up to 30 frames per second with audio; VGA-quality still camera
    -Tap to control exposure for video or stills
    -Photo and video geotagging over Wi-Fi

    I was also confused over the back camera but thanks to the above poster for confirming that the back camera does take photos :)
