I've ordered a headrest mount for my iPad 2 so that my two year old can watch movies on long car trips. He can't confidently operate the iPad on his own however and is likely to touch the screen or home button and inadvertently stop the movie.

Is there any way for me to operate the iPad remotely from the front of the car, or lock the controls in any way? That way I can start a movie and not have to help out until he needs to next movie started.

Could your two year old even reach the iPad which is on the headrest?

I don't think theres anyway to lock/control the touchscreen remotely.

I'm actually not sure if he could reach but he'd be close. He's literally the size of a five year old and I'm very tall so have the seat in front of him set quite far back. Also the attachment mechanism for the iPad extends back from the headrest a bit.
