Ipad1 took 4 hrs +/- few minutes, i.e 25% every hour. I think Ipad2 have the same battery capacity so... yea, 4 hrs about.

I always charge overnight and it is fine. Quick during the day charges seem to be a little slower than the old iPad.

i left the screen on while charging from Dead Zero, and it took 2 hrs for 20%!!!!

is that normal?

Seeing as the screen is probably the single biggest power draw of the whole device, then yeah, that's probably about normal.

Ipad takes long time to charge

What is the normal ipad 2 charging time? I swear mine takes forever to charge. The battery is lasting as it should but takes forever to charge.

You're right. Mine takes forever. I was using the Iphone adapter with the cord and thought that was the problem. But nope, it does the same with the ipad charger. Don't understand this. It can take up to 6 hours or more. Unreal.

Charging iPad 2 for the whole day (around 12 hours for now), and it still 93%.
And that was my fault - occasionally used iPod's power adapter, it is 5W instead of 10W for iPad, and that makes big difference :)
So, beware.

Use Original Apple cables!

Mines about the same but I also have a 6ft extension cable, charger to iPad, when using this it takes 7hrs or so, not sure why.

Hey guys, use original Apple cables and chargers. I was using the 10W Apple charger and a cheap Ebay 6ft cable. The charging time was insane! (7hrs +)

I switched to the original short Apple cable and the charging time is now more normal (3-4 hrs). Mind you, it is still a considerable amount of time to charge my iPad 2, but way better than 7hrs +.

Hope it helps ;)

5hrs for me

For me,my iPad 1 Takes about 5hrs to fully charge.. But lasts 10hrs min with Full WiFi Browsing+gaming .. So,I am ok with it
