iPad 2 contstantly turns off

I received an used ipad 2 thru work and its had about 85% battery. I go to use it and it turns off after a minute of using it. I turn it back on and get a solid 10 minutes barely but its constantly turning off.

iPad Turning Off

I assume you've tried a hard re-set? ( hold power and home buttons down together) it sounds as if you may have a duff battery, but Apple should replace the unit ( they swap them out, so backup to iTunes if you can first)

It's a 2 so well within warranty, take a trip to an Apple Store, I'd be surprised if you don't come home with a replacement.

does it turn off when your using it or when you put it down? check your auto lock setting and see what its set at
