iPad 2 - Crabtree Mall in Raleigh, NC

So, how many of you are heading here on launch day? Or rather, how many of you will be between me and my new iToy this Friday!😀

I'm hoping to get here around 4pm... and be out with two new iPad 2's w/ smart covers around 5:10pm if all goes well.

We're trying to figure out what to do. I have a child to pick up from school at 4 and DH has hand therapy at 3:30 so we can't get there before 4:30. I'm afraid it's going to be too late. We need a 64GB WiFi and a 64GB Verizon 3G. UGH.....hate this! Truly wish we could pre-order online for them to hold what we need.

i'm actually starting to feel that way myself. these things look to be available everywhere in pretty decent quantities. add to that the fact many people are quite happy with the iPad1 and i just don't see the mad dash we had last year to get the first iteration of the device.

I'm starting to get worried. Heard there were 20 + people in lines at other stores already. UGH! Now with online ordering saying 2-3 weeks for shipping - this is NOT looking good!

I'm in line there now and by my rough count there are 42 people in line right now. I've been here 30 minutes and ten people lined up behind me.

I just chatted with a Crabtree security officer and the line is stretching all the way past center court. They sent for more line rope and stands.
