iPad iPad 2 dead after restore to iPad mini

As part of configuring my iPad mini, I upgraded my trusty iPad 2 to 6.0.1, did a backup, and restore to iPad Mini.

Now, when I press the power button on my iPad 2, the apple icon shows for ~ 10 seconds then goes away and never boots up.

Has anyone seen this and fixed it, or should I just take it to the Genius bar.

Do a restore to factory defaults. If that doesn't wake it up, bring it to Apple.

I followed this procedure

which seemed to work.

Work means my iPad now boots to a version of itself with all the apps not in folders.

Can I now restore my folder groupings from my iPad Mini to my iPad 2?
