hello peeps. just pre-ordered an apple ipad 2 dock and the shipment date was april 7. anyone else have the same date or even earlier?

my apple store has a wall full of them.

There is a new version redesigned for the iPad 2 and none of the Apple stores have them yet. You were probably seeing the iPad 1 version.

yup just checked my order status again:

IPAD 2 DOCK-ZML
Ships: Apr 7
Delivers: Apr 13

Wonder when the apple stores will get them. The apple peeps don't know when. oh well at least I preordered mine.

I also wonder if the smart cover can be used with the dock or it has to be removed.
