iPad 2 does not have AirPlay or AirDrop?

My wifes ipad2 does not seem to have either? Any help would be appreciated!

Have you done a factory reset to see if it has both?

She has not as she is concerned about losing all of her pictures.

Have her do an iTunes backup. She can always restore. But if she does a reset and everything works, and it doesn't work after restoring, it means something she has installed is causing the problem.
