iPad 2 frozen since plugging in to OS X Lion

Do you mean your iPad is frozen?
Then perform a hard reset by Pressing and Holding the Sleep/Wake and Home button simultaneously for 10 seconds or until the Apple appears.
That should bring it back for you.
Sounds to me like something interrupted a sync operation between the two.
