I think the 4th Gen iPad will have wireless charging, theres no basis for my speculation its just a guess. I just hope they have a universal wireless charging accessory for iPhone and iPad and not seperate.

I never understood the allure of wireless charging. You have a large ugly charging station you have to put the device on top of, the charging station still has to be plugged in. I don't see it as that much of a convenience over the millisecond it takes me to slide it onto its dock.

I do dream of the day we have truly no power cords, possibly power energy would flow around us like radio waves where batteries wouldn't exist anymore.

Takes more than an OS update to implement inductive charging. If it ain't built into the iPad 2 (and it isn't), no software update in the world can make it work.
