iPad 2 Home Button Squint

I just noticed while using it, my eyes were drawn to it because it looked off. I held it in front of my friend on the train today and said 'does this button look squint' and it was an immediate yes (without the ruler in front). And what about the display?
Here's the problem, I put a ruler in front to make it clearer.

Hah, I thought that when looking at the picture too, but it's just a really old scratched up ruler in front of the screen. Screen's in perfect condition ^_^
The displays at apple have crooked home buttons too. Plus how would you get this swapped if you wanted too?
Seriously???? You made an appointment, are going to go to the apple store, and want a replacement for a crooked home button?
Have you thought about what if u do that and end up with one that has dead pixels or worse.
I've heard some OCD stuff on here and have exhibited a little OCD myself on occasion, but this takes the cake!!

Are you kidding? I might also be OCD about my stuff, but a crooked home button is NOT normal in the least.
Not normal? The button works fine. my iPad 2 is exactly like that. even my iPhone is. The buttons work fine.
Currently, no, although the first one I had was slightly crooked. And it did bother me, like you.
My suggestion would have been to not put a ruler next to it and it's barely noticeable. Even in the picture, the ruler looks crooked and not the button, except by association with the ruler. Ignore the ruler and it doesn't look crooked at all. I really do wish people would make at least some effort to control their OCD tendencies. Not to in any way make light of such a condition, but you know, you do have to realize and deal with it when you become bothered by such minute things, don't you?
Well you do have to squint, with your nose plastered against the screen, to see it...
I really hope you take it to the apple store and they laugh you right out of there. The bottom is not crooked. The little square on the button is not perfectly lined up. Why be so anal about an iPad.
Yeah, never heard the word "squint" used to describe something that is crooked. Skewed yes, but not squint.
Apologies. According to Wiktionary it's part of Scottish dialect, I thought it was a universal thing.
The phrase "it's on the piss" would be more accurate.

Went into the Apple Store today, the Genius agreed it was a problem and said since it was within 14 days and I had bought it at that store she would just swap it for a brand new boxed unit, and said she would let me check it first to make sure I was ok with it.
Now sitting here with a perfect iPad 2. Very happy
Tell me more, genius.
Yep, mine is too - first one was perfect in this regard however I had it swapped out due to the back light issue!
