I just bought my wife a new ipad at Costco, 9.7 inch, not the pro, do these not have raise to wake?

    Do any ipads have it?

Raise to wake is an iPhone specific feature.

    Thanks

We need new Ipad because of wearing out home button. It is my wife's, can she go from an app to the home screen of apps without hitting home button?

    No

Edit: My apologies. Didn’t give enough thought to your question before I answered. Also don’t own an iPad myself, so completely forgot about enabling gestures. My mistake!

You can also use 4 or 5 finger pinch to go from an app to the home screen as long as Gestures are enabled in the General settings.

Just found this feature, but you have to press the power button and then only touch the home button.
