I'm close to the end at Otay. We're around the corner now, and they've broken the line, so the new folks have to stand behind Barnes and Noble. About 10 more in line since I got here.

At Fashion Valley they announced that they're out of most 3G models.

Missed the "out of 3GS" announcement - I've been playing Tiny Bird for the last hour.
I'm about 43rd in line (or so) - at 3pm, I heard the line was up to 200 - and that was an hour ago.
I guess they could make that announcement (about 3Gs) as they came around and asked what you intended to purchase.
The mall wi-fi is borked (too many connections?) - glad I brought my jailbroken iPhone with MyWi -- working flawlessly - thanks for at least one thing AT&T.

They've been coming around and taking inventory on what people are buying. I'm really far back in line, near Bing Crosby's, and they've guaranteed me a black 16GB wifi.

Yes. They are handing out vouchers at BestBuy mission valley. I got mine.
Had a great time hanging out in line with everyone yesterday. I was approx. #70. Brought home a black, 16 GB, WiFi only with an HDMI adapter and black leather magnetic cover. Had an IP1; love the IP2 even more!

was told on the phone earlier in the week to call at 8am to find out what was received and they start selling at 9am. Called, no answer, stopped by about 8:30am, the vouchers had already been passed out. they didnt get in the model I was looking for so no biggie...

That's just the runaround that they are instructed to say. They know full well people are lining up before the sun hits the east coast, yet they still tell you to call long after tickets are distributed. You'd think that a phone operator would go rogue and give a real answer just to stop people from calling with the same damn questions over and over.
