Went to FB and its still the same as the first gen ipad, it wont let you do a direct upload of a pic.

Yeah and you can probably expect the web app to be the same. Not really sure why you're shocked by this  .

I'm pretty sure there are one or two or a billion apps to help with this in the App Store now for the time being

I hope they intergrate direct sharing in ios 5.... Just like my android phone Don't worry im posting this from my iphone 4 lol... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1299891159.082148.jpg

This is actually one of my pet peeves with iOS. With Android you can use your browser and when a website gives you the option to upload a file by picking it from your computer, you click and can select a file from any folder. On my iPad, that button is greyed out.

Sure, I could probably find an app. On the case of Facebook the app is not designed for the iPad and it only lets me pick pictures. And for any website that doesn't have an app, I'm out of luck. I'd rather have the same capability I have with my browser on my desktop computer.

Just installed the friendly for Facebook app.

After 2 mins, I will never go back to the standard FB app.

Thanks to Bluemeanie1976!

Have friendly for Facebook on the iPad 2 and it will let you upload a picture but you can't put a caption. Unless I am missing something!

When you start to type, the camera upload button disappears.

Input anyone??

PhotoloaderHD is the best I've seen.
You can make new albums, add captions, and change the order

Interesting. I assume it lets you pic any picture from your photo library, correct? It wont let you upload say a PDF you have in Goooldreader or an Excel spreadsheet you have on Doc2Go?

Why should iOS accommodate Facebook? Facebook Smacebook. When it goes the way of myspace there will be something else. iOS is an operating system not some fly by night web app.

Is there a reason you can't use the facebook app for iphone, on you your ipad, to upload the pics? It looks ugly when you fill the ipad screen but that isn't how your picture will look on facebook.
