Well I've been loving mine but one little quirk that bothers me is there's no place for the smart cover to grab on the back of the iPad when you fold it open. So you basically have to hold the cover to the back when it's open.

Does this bother anyone else? I think Apple could have placed some spots on the back for the magnets to grab to hold the cover.

Easy solution...Take it off. It is not like it takes much time to take it off and put it on.

Yeah that's easy to just remove it but I like to fold it open like a notebook. If you remove it, then you'll have to find some place to store the cover.

hmmm, i hold it with my left hand and fold the smart cover in half...

either fold it like that, and it'll stay on (since you hold it in your left hand anyways?)

and some even use it like this:

Great pics and exactly how I use it. The bottom pic works well with one hand or both as you can slide a finger in each side and it makes a great support.

thanks, took a good 5 minutes googling them
(especially the first one!) ;)

OP, I thought the exact same thing. That's one of the reasons I took my smart cover back (in addition to no protection on the back of the ipad). My thought was, they went through all that trouble to put the magnets on the front, would it have been that hard to put some on the back, so the cover could fold flat on the back while you're using the iPad?

Agree with the OP. Sometimes the magnet holds but it's really, really weak. Had it been 30% stronger it seems like it would have held.
