It is plenty of space for me, my 16GB iPhone 4 comes in at 13.7 GB, but neither that nor my 32GB iPad 2 ever have less than about 4 or 5 GB free.

Giuly macrumors 68040 Apr 1, 2013 #30 Actually, Apple's GB are GiBiByte since Snow Leopard - so the system takes 2.5 GiBiByte. Big deal, get an 32GB iPad next time. 16GB is just not enough.
