ipad 2 randomly restart?

my ipad was just sitting on my lap, with the screen off and then i noticed suddenly out of the blue the apple logo popped up and apparently it just restarted itself... what is with that?? Anyone experience this?

Its happened before, but only after starting up an app- i guess just at the wrong time. If anything its a software bug so if its bother you restore

Nobody else has noticed this? Randomly, I see that the ipad just restarts itself.. its not evne being used, just sitting there with the screen off and then suddenly i will see the apple logo as it restarts..

try a Reset, hold down the Home and Power/Lock button for ~10 seconds. the iPad will then restart/reset. if the iPad continues to randomly reboot I would Restore the device. after that if it continues to restart randomly then its time for a trip to an Apple Store.
