iPad 2 screen scratch fix

My iPad was a big scratch on the screen about 1.5 inches long. Is there any way I can repair it without getting a digitizer?

something called Applesauce exists. I have never used it so I can't comment on its effectiveness but its worth a research.

A while back somebody used an automobile buffer and rubbing compound and was successful. It's worth a try and the worst thing that can happen is you buff the screen to a milky haze.

Toothpaste and a grill brush. And a handkerchief for the tears. 😀
