Does anyone else think that every picture you look at of the iPad 2 the screen looks clearer than the iPad 1
 
If you mean more detail, then No. Same resolution on both.

If you're talking about colors/contrast, then we would have to have both models side by side to compare, which we don't. I'm sure it's not much different in this respect because Apple would have talked about it in the keynote presentation if it was improved.
 
Until we can get our hands on one side by side in real life conditions I would say any speculation would be premature

Engadget has a side-by-side picture, but then again, this would be a better comparison in real life than to any photo.
