Is it possible to pick the iPad 2 up with the smart cover on just by the smart cover? Are the magnets strong enough to let it hang in mid air?

I even wiggled it right now and it wouldn't come off. However I don't think I'd ever hold it by the cover alone.
Just some common sense haha.
It is strong enough to pick it up, but I'd never do it regularly as it is easy to tug it off when you want to, so it' definitely not very safe.
I don't see any problems with my blue plastic one with frayed edges etc.
Only thing I disliked is I hate the girly pastel colors and that they made colors like Black and Navy in the absurdly priced leather covers. But the blue was tolerable--green is probably ok as well.

I was all set to buy one today but Gazelle.com went from pricing mine at $530 trade in to $350 trade in (exact same settings) so I'm not so sure now :/
