Hi,

I'm looking for a decent set of speakers for my ipad 2. I like the B&W with air play but 600$ atm seems a little to much.
I have a pair of bose companion 2 speakers can I safely plug this in the ipad and will they work?
I couldn't find any infos on bose website if they are compatible.

Do you need Air Play speakers? If not Boes speakers work with iOS.

Keep your speakers and just buy an Airport Express to achieve the same functionality of AirPlay.

i recently bought logitech's "iPad" boombox bluetooth speakers for $150 at best buy and really dig them. They are loud, have a decent bass, and work with more devices.

I use Zii Sound by Creative Technology. It is a pretty cool system of bluetooth speakers. I only have one, but apparently you can add subwoofers and other speakers.
