iPad 2, stuck at password screen after 9.3 install

    I think this problem started after the iPad was upgraded to iOS 9.3. It might be the activation bug that we've all read about. But I can't figure out what to do with this thing. It asks for a password, and I have it, but it won't accept. It is also not connected to any Wifi network. When I plug it into iTunes, it asks if I can trust the computer, I say yes, and then it says to respond on the iPad, which I can't do, since it is stuck on the screen asking for the password. I can't turn off activation lock, because when I log into iCloud and go to "Find my iPhone", it says it can't find the device, because it isn't on wifi. So.... I'm stumped. Ideas?

    That looks to be your four to six digit security passcode and not Apple ID password. If you still can't unlock it then put the device into Recovery and restore it.
