iPad 2 is getting iOS 8? I for one am hyped about it! 😀

Many people were speculating it was time for the iPad 2 support to be ended. But it looks like us iPad 2 owners get one more year!

I'm surprised my iPad 2 has still not been retired, however things are getting slow and I'm betting that iOS 8 on it will be like iOS 7 on an iPhone 4: it'll work, but it'll be awful.

I expect the feature set of iOS8 on iPad 2 and iPad mini will be quite limited, but still good to see.

That's still impressive, really. I remember when Steve unveiled iPad 2 and mentioned that it would define the category for years to come. Definitely kept that promise!

Big sigh of relief about the iPad 2, although I've been contemplating moving to the Air later this fall. Equally happy that the iPod Touch 5g wasn't overlooked.

Yeah. Apple wasn't able to kill the iPad 2 with iOS 7, so they're going for another shot with iOS 8. 😉

My wife is using my hand-me-down iPad 2 (I've got an iPad 4), it is still running great... well, as great as anything can run on iOS 7.
