iPad 2 to VGA monitor

I use my iPad for taking notes with Noteshelf and also for drawing with Showme. How can I hook my iPad to a VGA monitor I have on my desk to display to others on this larger screen
 
surprisingly no cheaper on eBay. AliExpress offers them but you have to buy a minimum of 2 sometimes 5.
