Hi
So I have an iPad 2 with 2 dead pixels and backlight bleeding, the retailer I purchased it from do not have any stock for exchanges, so I set it up for a refund. However I was considering getting it replaced at the genius bar. Has anyone done this? Is it a new unit they give you or a refurbished unit from a non retail package?
Thanks

You're best ringing your store up and checking. I'd think they would give you a new one, but it depends on the store I suppose. Ring them first :)

My iPad 2 arrived from John Lewis with a couple of marks on the back and a small dent on the corner so I went to the Apple store in Regent's St and was told they didn't have any replacement parts otherwise he could just change the back with a new one and then told me to try and get it swapped in John Lewis, where I got it from.

:(

Surely he couldn't swap the back! It has a unique serial, and on 3G models an IMEI number.

Plus there will be about a litre of glue.
