Does anyone know if Birmingham apple store has stock? I'm after a 16gb White. I went to 4 currys stores 3 comet stores and 2 CPW stores yesterday. The only stock I found was a 64gb wifi or 16gb 3G.

I spent a fortune on diesel!

Try calling the stores? They should be able to tell you.

If anyone is looking for one in the London area, the Regent Street Apple store still had black and white 16GB wi-fi models in this morning, and are getting in a set of all of them tomorrow, apparently. They no longer have any 64GB white wi-fi models though ;)

Just thought i'd share my experience.

After watching the WWDC i decided to take the plunge and get an iPad 2... im not keen on the white one and have an iPhone 4 already so figured the 16gb black wifi only one would be sufficient, had a trot into best buy (derby) and asked about putting my name down for one, was told that they were expecting some stock in the next day and because most people were wanting white i stood a good chance of getting one, they said they would call me if any came in.

Next day came and i couldnt wait, so on my way to town stopped back in, went to the counter and asked if any had come in, they told me they hadnt had the delivery they expected and didnt know when it would be now.... However he did have something that i might be interested in,

He went into the drawer behind the counter and produced a 16gb black wifi and 3g model, it was boxed with all the bits but not sealed, he showed me the paperwork that was with it, basically a customer had bought it the day before and returned it stating he didnt realise that he couldnt actually load programmes onto it, because it was opened Best Buy policy is to sell if for 10% off..... couldnt say no really..... Well chuffed with it.

Out of interest, what PAYG data plans are worth looking at for it??

I can't believe how much trouble this is trying to get hold of one still. I got mine on day one but I'm now looking for one for my mum for her birthday and I can't find ANY. Around where I live there are about 12 shops that claim to sell it but from a white 16 gig wifi to a black 64 gig 3g, they're all out. Incredible.

Mate sign up to this website it will send you an email as soon as it finds a model in stock online. It goes through most of the big name sites like John Lewis, Tesco, Argos etc. I got the model I wanted 2 days after signing up. Im sure the site has been mentioned already but here you go. Good luck!

Hi All,

any idea if Bham Bullring apple store has any stock? I cant get through on the phone have been trying all day.

I would prefer to purchase from the apple store but if not 1staudiovisual seems to have stock for the 32g, I'm just a little cautious of using a site ive never used before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Just tried to order a 32gb wifi only ipad from Argos online, but think i missed the stock by a few minutes. It said in the order email that the product hadn't been purchased. Anyone know if the order is actually cancelled, or will it go through when they next get some in stock?

Just back from Apple Store Grand Arcade Cambridge - they had plenty of stock of the 16GB Wifi Black model (surprising, I thought it would be the most popular!) so I bought one!
