Does the xbox count? Then again it is one of the only devices from MS that is using the superior PPC architecture, so I guess a bit different than most of their crapware they make.

No the XBox does not count. You know how many times I have gotten that stupid red circle of death!??! Bought a brand new XBox 360 last year, and right out of the box it had the red circle. Took it back and got a new one. Less than a year later, it has it again. And I barely used the thing! Oh, and between the 2 XBox 360's I have owned, this is now the 4th red circle in 5 years. So on average, it breaks once a year.

Screw you M$... But I still want to try the Metro UI on my MBP. Guess I'm a gluten for punishment.

Windows 8 looks very promising, it runs a lot better than Android Honeycomb. If it can provide a consistent Apple-like experience and quality apps it'd surely be a hit. Google better watch out:D

Only got halfway through that video... that guy's voice and style was zzzzzzzzz....... And usually I love things like this, but sheesh....he could put an insomniac to sleep (Well, he did!!).

Also, what he was showing, re the moving around of icons and stuff, was wayyyy too basic to keep things interesting for 10 minutes!

Ummmmmm says who?.. Where are you getting this info from?

What's the point of comparing something that has been in production for nearly a year with something that is currently under development and likely won't be seen for at least a year? You'd have to compare the Windows 8 tablet with iPad 3/iOS 6/OS X 10.8. Of course, that comparison won't be possible, so I guess this comparison is the next best thing.
