The bigger device with the bigger battery is better.

It depends: my iPhone runs out of battery faster than the iPad primarily because I user it as business phone and make a lot of calls, it usually lasts a working day. viceversa the iPad (wifi) has a two days of battery life under my usage conditions 😉

The iPad battery life is much better than the iPhone, but the iPhone clearly beats the battery life of my toaster oven. 🙂
