Did Apple ever market two different versions of those devices at the same time? And by your logic, they're all just the iPhone?

Notice how I left iPhone out because it doesn't apply. Did you notice? Did you notice!? Good boy!

As stated, it will just be called iPad. Many will refer to it as iPad 2 or iPad 2g. You may see it in their returns as iPad current generation, but otherwise it won't be called anything different. Also as stated, if they do offer the original model as an entry model, they will not differentiate them by giving them a different name just as they did with the iPod touch 3g when the 8th model was the previous version at a cheaper price.

Exactly. It will simply be called "iPad" and then differentiated by adding (2nd Generation) or (1st Generation), just like the iPod Nano and iPod Touch.

With two cameras that will allow you to do FaceTime while also having a PIP out the back (so you can avoid walking into things), I should think it would be the eyePad

I agree and disagree.

Well... I'm not sure that I agree with the names that you all are giving it, Lol. But I do think they are going to give it a new name. I think they can't just call it iPad because I really do believe that once the new one comes out, they are still going to sell the first one... as like... a lower end model for schools and people that won't need all the fancy stuff. I mean hey, they still sell the iPhone 3Gs..:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

It depends on the new features. If it has just the dual core, then iPad Duo or iPad GT. If it has dual core and LTE, then iPad Duo LTE or iPad LTE or iPad 4g. If it has dual core, LTE and retina display, then iPad Ultimate LTE or iPad Sequel.

For a period, the 13-inch aluminum Macbook was being sold at the same time as the white plastic Macbook. It took them a little while to relabel it a Macbook Pro.

And now people own that elusive MacBook Classic Special Edition whatever.
