I didn't hear anything about the Ipad 2 adding Sprint as an option for the Ipad 2. Did i miss something? Is this in the works?

You didn't hear anything because no one said anything. It may be an option somewhere down the line but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting a cheap unlimited plan; if t happens it will be in line with the other wireless providers.
