I know you guys pay stupid VAT charges, but that's a $399 US unit here, and $349 in the Apple refurb store. To me you paying $500 for it in UK is sheer highway robbery, not a good deal but with the crown exacting their pound of flesh I really can't say.

They come in and out of the UK refurb store quite regularly, so keep checking, and don't pay more than 289!

i'm sure the next generation of ipad will be great, but for the needs of many, the ipad 2 is a sweet machine.
