Have an iPad 2 which keeps getting slower and SLOWER each and every time they come up with a new IOS. I accidentally brought it up to 9.3.4 before I realized there was no going back.

Now my iPad is almost unusable.

Any recommendations for me besides, sell it and purchase a new one.

Apparently I can't jailbreak & I can't use old IPSW files.
I would love to go back to the days of 4.3

What CAN I do?
Are there ANY options?

Upgrade to 9.3.5, jailbreak with Phoenix PWN. Downgrade.

I'll give it a shot.
I'm upgraded to 9.3.5
Now to look at Phoenix PWN.

Anything I should be concerned about?
I'll let you know how it goes.
[doublepost=1511300708][/doublepost]Sure enough... got it up and running without a problem!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! You might have helped me breathe some life back into this ole iPad!

You're welcome. Glad to hear it worked out.

My ipad had a problem so I went through the process again, but now I am getting the following when I use the Cydia Impactor:
provision.cpp:81
ios/addAppId=9313″

The ‘Network Extensions’ feature is only available to users enrolled in Apple Developer Program. Please visit
https://developer.apple.com/programs/ to enroll.

Any ideas?
I have tried a few and nothing is working.

Are you back on 6.1.3?

I believe Impactor, or Eraser as it is now called is only compatible from iOS 7 and up.

Took four iPad 2 models (yes four of them) at work and rolled all of them back to 6.1.3. Still able to run a number of apps just fine using the download previous version of this app feature in the App store. Works great! Three were on iOS 8.4 so I used a JB for that and the last one, a 3G model was on 8.4.1 so I took it to 9.3.5, used Phoenixpwn to Jailbreak it, then downgraded with OdysseusOTA2. Worked wonderfully. No blobs on any of them and all four run super smoothly now.

Just have to remember not to stay on wifi when charging or it'll download again. Though I may use P0sixpwn and install a tweak to get rid of the updates altogether and keep the rest stock.

The iPad 2 still runs well for me as a secondary device at work for using Notability, Exchange mail still works fine with our server, iMessage, calendar (exchange), Google contacts/calendar/mail, Penultamate, some weather apps, Google Maps, some older games, etc. all work very well. The only downside is iOS 6 has a much older version of Safari, so I don't use it for the web too much outside of some Opera use and the occasional page load in Safari.

If anyone knows of a more up to date HTML5 compliant browser that works on iOS 6 I'd love to know about it. Until then, enjoy the speed and the nice, smooth UI.

Just get the OTA blocker profile
http://www.redmondpie.com/disable-block-ios-ota-update-on-iphone-or-ipad-no-jailbreak-required/

I didn't realize profiles could be installed with certain versions. Yeah, just jailbreak and disable them.

Purpose of releasing newer os so your old ipad will feel sluggish and that’s when u will need to buy newer model . That’s how Apple makes money

Is Odysseus the "go-to" downgrading app for all iPad models? I was the founder of this thread and have a jail-broken iPad 2 running 9.3.5 thanks to all the great people on the forum.

If you have a Mac I would say yes. However if you have a PC too you could try using 3U Tools as well following this guide.

http://www.3u.com/tutorial/articles/4207/downgrade-iphone-4s-ipad-2-to-ios-613-with-3utools

I took an iPhone 4S that was given to me on iOS 7.0.6 up to 9.3.5, Jailbroke it and downgraded to 6.1.3 and it flies just like the iPad 2's do on 6.1.3.

It's basically the same thing but with an interface rather than using the command line.

How did your jail breaking go?

I have an iPad 3, also on 9.3.5 and I plan to jailbreak it this weekend. I used Pangu before to jailbreak my iPhone 4 from iOS 7.1.2 and it worked well. I will either stick to that or try Phoenix.

Those iOS 6 icons were iconic.
