iPad 2018 with Superdrive

Will the iPad 2018 play DVDs from a Superdrive (using the correct adapter, of course)?

How would it do that, do you have a DVD player app on your iPad by chance or do you just assume it would figure out the software part itself?

DVD has such a low resolution. Treat yourself better and watch higher quality videos.
