I just bought a gen 2 ipad to use for work. It's main purpose was to read and navigate plans more efficiently while in my truck on a jobsite. I am currently using a laptop. Problem I am having is when I open PDF document the ipad starts flashing one plan at a time quickly until it finally rests on a dark screen with PDF title, PDF document and size (ie. 6.4 MB). How can I get this to work ? Most of my files come via text and this problem occurs whether I download or not.

A couple of questions: (1) which iPadOS version are you on? and (2) which app are you using to view PDFs, if any?

In addition to above questions, posting a screenshot of the message might help.

And: go to the Files app and check the Downloads folder under "On My iPad" to see if your PDFs might be there.

Sorry, literally the first time I have ever used a forum. Really hoping someone will know what I'm talking about and have a suggestion.

Version 13.5.1, and I haven't downloaded any app yet because I am not sure what I am shopping for.

also, I am able to find my downloaded files, it is when I open them is when all the trouble starts.

"Open in" Books app. I have read hundreds ( if not thousands ) of PDFs organized via collections within Books. My reading location is 'saved' and available when I pickup reading on another device signed in with the same AppleID.
