I just spent 20 minutes playing Modern Combat 3 and I can tell you that it's a kick ass showcase for the iPad 3. Despite the screen size the experience is amazing thanks to the resolution but most importantly the lighting. It feels like I have got the original Xbox in my hands.

However it is worth pointing out that the graphics have been designed to run on the iPad 2 so this is nowhere near the limit of what the iPad 3 is capable off. The only problem is controls. My right thumb is absolutely sore and the controls are not ideal at all for first shooting games.

It makes me wish that apple would open up the Bluetooth protocol for communication with Bluetooth controller alternatively offer an add on accessory for gaming because hardware wise the device is capable but the controls are such a bottle neck for its prospects of serving all types of games.

It'll be sweet if I could pair the PS3 controller with the iPad.
