Ok well maybe its not good to have expectations but still im sure we all have some ideas on the iPad 3.

What do you want to see with it and what do you think it will have?

Personally im pretty damn sure its going to have a much higher resolution display, aka retina. Also probably be a bit faster im gonna guess - maybe the ram will go up to a gig this time. Higher quality camera. Similar battery and pricing seems likely. Also i hope for no backlight bleed issues. Not sure what else.

better cammra and hd / retina screen !!! 10 hour + battery and ill be happy , i got ipad 1 but waiting for ipad 3

Better Cameras
Better Screen
Faster

Simple :)

I don't expect any better battery life, form factor change or any thinner really.

iPad 2 is so great, it's not like any other Apple product (ie. MBPs) you can't wait to have the next gen. I think it has it all, but if we were to add in some upgrades, realistically speaking we could throw in:

- Retina Display
- Increased capacity
- Better camera (esp. the front one)

I have no idea how they would possible extend battery life even further. Right now, it's a monstrous amount.

ipad2 is so superior, I think retina display is a must, cameras aren't important, no one takes pictures using ipad anyways, increased capacity won't happen it may interfere with macbook sales.

Retina display with 3D
HD Webcam on Front and back
Thinner
15+ hours of battery life
2GB of Ram
better speakers
Less bezel

Retina Display
HD Front Facing Camera
1080P video recording
1GB Ram
Quad core CPU
Same 10 hours Battery life or higher

I don't care about LTE, but some might do.

Whoa, retina display AND 3D?! That's just too much to ask, I highly doubt they will implement 3D with upgraded resolution, it's just useless and unnecessary on a 9.7" device. It will take space as well thus making the iPad physically thicker in size.. Your expectations of the next iPad's features are a little over the top, how can you expect 15 plus hours on a device that has 2GB RAM, and 3D? 3D alone will reduce the device's battery life by about 30% alone.

depends when it comes out:

sept:

retina display
better camera (1.3 both sides)
ships with iOS 5.0

march:
retina
more ram
better cameras (1.3 both sides)
A6
maybe stereo speakers (speaker like on the ipad 2 but one on the other side)
ships with iOS 5.2

Two more things I would really like to see on the iPad eventually- first, an updated interface- widgets and customizable folders, and second of all I'd like to see a fully blown multitasking eventually- if you could access to screens at the time that would be really good.

I'm still on an iPad 1 and I think three improvements are needed:

1) Better screen. Seriously, it's the one area where the iPad has been a letdown. The resolution is way too low, you can see individual pixels, everything is fuzzy etc. I'll only buy another iPad if it comes with a retina-class display.

2) Weight. The iPad 2 addressed this concern, but not to my complete satisfaction. The device is still pretty heavy.

3) RAM. The iPad 2 still only has 512 Megabytes of RAM, just like the iPhone 4. That's not enough to comfortably use iOS and its multitasking features. Everytime my iPad or iPhone reloads one of my Safari tabs because it ran out of RAM I feel like throwing it at the wall.

I think the concensus will be Retina Display or bust.

It just doesn't make sense at this point in the tablet game to go "all out" on features. iPad is too far ahead of the competition to need to play into a specs war.

Toss a Retina Display on the iPad 2 and rake in the sales. I know I'll be on line.
