I live in Los Angeles county and ordered my iPad 3 white 64GB wifi on march 7, 12:49pm PST and mine is still preparing for shipment as well. Since I payed for standard shipping, I would assume it would have shipped by now and take the 5 days to get to my local fedex/UPS location. sorry if this counts as thread jacking.

Not sure why you think its thread jacking you are who this thread is for. I too ordered around 1pm on 3/7 and I have 1 64GB and 1 32GB white and they are both still preparing to ship. as of this morning at 9:45am 3/13. eekk have faith haha

Preparing for shipment since yesterday, sat in Processing for 4 days before that. I ordered a 64GB white 4G model on keynote day at around 6pm EST. I got 3 emails today supposedly from Apple with bogus order numbers saying my card was charged some outrageous amounts and asking me to click on a link to view my invoice. Of course I didn't click on the links and I deleted the emails but gave Apple the order numbers. Apple rep said the emails did not come from them but corporate is looking into all the spam emails. While we were talking, he told me that my iPad is coming from the Tennessee warehouse and should ship within 24 hours, still scheduled for March 16 delivery.
