Nice mockups! I gave it a go too, bit of a rush job though, so not as clean as yours.

well if you believe the rumors on todays front page the cheapest model price point will be 579$ and not $499.

think your mockup needs to get the ball rolling with helping apple fans come to terms with the price hike :D

Since all the rumors are pointing to the iPad 3 having the same design, I decided to create a mockup of what the page could look like. Opinions?

EDIT: Also Did a Invite Mockup

Wow, good job! Hope we'll see this in about a week.

I guess I would expect to see the screen on to really show off the Retina display that is rumored.

a black/off display doesn't show much.

Too dark and mysterious. Apple doesn't go for that. They want to show the product and show off why it's great. Additionally they've never used a completely black background on their webpage before.

It's also unlikely Apple would place "A6 Processor" or "4G LTE" front and centre on the advert. Apple tends not to push technical specifications, but rather what can be done with those technologies.

So it would more likely say "Fastest tablet ever - online and offline" or something like that.
You mean not push technical specifications like they do here?

Scribble out that home button hahahaha only kidding! Looks well only thing that I would change is the size of the text of how much it is, Don't know why but it just doesent look right, amazing work though

My goodness, I'll say it again. Apple HAS done this in the past. Like here.

Comparison between mine and the real one

"Seeing is Believing" pretty much confirms a Retina Display, like you have to see it to truly appreciate the high DPI. "We have something you really have to see" still gives Apple some room to massively disappoint us.
