iPad 3 with iOS 9.3

i've successfully installed 9.3 on my IPad 3 and discovered there is no access to night shift. Anyone know why this is? Surely not a performance issue? Apples way of gently trying to make me buy a new iPad?

Same here me also on iPad 3 and do not have night shift ! I have been made to understand night shift is available only to iPad Air 2 and onwards !

Seems like they want me to buy a new iPad. I'm sure it is not overly processor intensive to change the colour temperature of the display.

Probably is them trying to get you to upgrade to a new iPad, when I had my iPad 3 jailbroken, it ran f.lux, which is exactly like NightShift, perfectly well. It even had all the features NighShift has like turning on at night and off in the day.
