Hi,

I would like to know:
Is it possible, for a tourist, to buy an iPad 3G in USA?

I wonder because of the deal with AT&T and Verizon just like there was with the iPhone, and I know that it was impossible to get one as a tourist in the states.

Therefore I wonder...Is there a way around this?
I have a friend who will be in the states next week and i want him to bring me one :)

Thx

Hi

iPad 3G are not sold with a contract in the US. The prices you see are what you will be paying (plus some tax) without committing to a contract.

I'm not sure if an AT&T iPad will work in the UK or not.
I'm pretty sure a Verizon one will not work at all.

I just walked into the store, paid by credit card $829 + 6% Massachusetts state tax ~ $880

In germany I bought a T-Mobile Sim Card (Xtra tarif o something like that) for EU10 + EU5 for each day of internet access. Worked great in Germany. I don't think the new iPad will be different but check first if you can easily swap out the SIM card.
